Frequently Asked Questions

Do all players/team officials need to be “Active” in My Football Club for them to appear in FB Game Day?

Yes. All players and team officials need to have an “Active” registration for 2018 in My Football Club (MFC) before they can be loaded into FB Game Day.

Note: To upload a photo on My Football Club, the file size is limited to 1MB.  TIP: For uploads from phones, email the photo to your own email address first and select a reduced file size.

How long does it take for players to appear in FB Game Day after being made “Active” in MFC?

Unfortunately, MFC & Sports TG don’t communicate well with other platforms, which means that we need to manually upload files into FB Game Day. In the initial instance we will be uploading files every day, however as we get into the season the frequency of the uploads will decrease.

Will I be able to select a player if they don’t have a photo uploaded into FB Game Day?

You won’t be able to select a player or team official for a virtual match sheet if they don’t have a photo uploaded into FB Game Day. However, you are able to take a quick photo of the player on the day of the game, upload it to FB Game Day and then instantly add the player to the match sheet.

Does the Club Administrator need to upload all of the photos?

A Club Administrator, team manager or coach can upload photos to FB Game Day. However, only a Club Administrator may change a photo once it has been uploaded.

What do I do if I can’t find a player?

If you can’t find a player or team official, first check that they have been made “Active” in MFC. If they are “Active” then consider when the player was made “Active” as Football Brisbane is currently uploading files every day (Mon-Fri). If you still can’t find the individual, send competitions@footballbrisbane.com.au with their details for investigation.

Why can’t I see some of my teams?

Teams are loaded into FB Game Day when their fixtures have been created in Sports TG. As we are still in the process of finalising feedback from clubs regarding team additions, withdrawals and re-gradings, not all teams will be visible at this time.

Why do I have a blank screen when I log in?

In most cases a blank screen appears because you haven’t been given the correct permissions to view the content you wish to view. If you wish to be added as a club administrator, please email competitions@footballbrisbane.com.au with your FFA number (we will check that the individual has permission to be added or if they are a club contact). If you wish to be added as a coach or manager, please contact your FB Game Day club administrator/s to allocate you to a team.

Playing Strip Information from Football Brisbane

Please ensure that you visit here to check that there are no clashes in playing strips before each match.

In the event of a clash where the correct/updated playing strip has't been lodged with Football Brisbane, the club who haven't advised of their playing strip correctly will be required to change and may be sanctioned accordingly.

As a friendly reminder regarding which teams are required to change in the event of a clash in playing strip; please see below for the corresponding section from the Rules of Competition:

9.9.1  Senior Premier and Capital Leagues

All first named clubs will be deemed the "HOME" team and will play in their nominated colours.  In the event there is a clash of colours, it is the responsibility of the “AWAY” team to change to an alternate strip.

AWAY teams must take their alternate strip (shirts, shorts and socks) to every match and will be required to change if the appointed Match Official requests it as per requirements listed below in 8.9.4.

Team Managers should check the strip worn by their opponents to avoid the likelihood of a clash.

9.9.2 Senior City Leagues, Under 20, Under 18 & Legends

All first named clubs will be deemed the "HOME" team and will normally play in their nominated colours.  In the event there is a clash of colours, it is the responsibility of the “HOME” team to change to an alternate strip.

9.9.3  Junior Competitions

All first named clubs will be deemed the "HOME" team and will normally play in their nominated colours.  In the event there is a clash of colours, it is the responsibility of the “HOME” team to change to an alternate strip.

Junior teams are not permitted to advertise any alcohol or tobacco related products on their playing strips.

9.9.5 Penalties and Outcomes

If a Competition Fixture does not commence due to an inability to resolve a clash of strips, and it can be established that a club did not comply with the requirements above, the offending club will be deemed to have forfeited the match and will be fined as per a forfeit (See Appendix II).

Should a Match Official proceed with a match in which a club has not complied with the requirements above, the Match Official is to report this to Football Brisbane and the offending club will be fined (See Appendix II).
