Important Announcement re PRAFC President

Due to unforeseen personal circumstances, our club President, Julie Gordon has tendered her resignation as President. Julie has served as President since the beginning of the 2020 season and saw the club through the difficulties presented by COVID-19. The Committee would like to thank Julie for her contribution to the club both in her role as Club President but also as an ongoing supporter of the PRAFC teams and club. We wish Julie all the best for the future and look forward to still seeing her in the stands supporting our players.

To ensure that the Club can continue to operate at this very busy time with registrations and pre-season planning in full swing, Rebecca Bowles kindly offered to step into the role of interim President until the next AGM, as permitted by the Club Constitution. Accordingly, the Management Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca as interim President for the 2021 season effective from 11 February 2021.

Rebecca currently holds the Club Support role on the Management Committee, has been involved in management of the PRAFC since its inception and is a passionate player and supporter of the PRAFC teams. For those of you that know Rebecca, you will already know that she lives and breathes everything football and is already an asset to the Club. Thank you Rebecca!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the Management Committee members.

Season 2021 is nearly upon us! We aim to run as many teams as we can - and to help us plan, we're offering Early Bird Pricing. This pricing will only run until 1 week after the fields open again (18th January), so get in quick.

We've been granted entry for the Vilic Law Capital 3 Men's competition for 2021. If you want to play this grade specifically, please select it as the fees represent the additional costs the club incurs for this competition. Your shorts, socks and polo are included in your fees for Capital League to recognise the presentation standards we want to maintain.

If you would like to play Men's City League specifically, please register for this level so that we can gauge how many teams we will need to nominate.

We are also looking at running a "Kick Off" program for the littlies and will launch that when we understand the options. details will be finalized based on interest received.

Junior Competition CoOrdinator Needed

We need you 2

Your club can only run through the help of volunteers - and we currently have a need to fill the Junior Competition Co-Ordinator role.   Working with the committee, you'll be a crucial piece in helping our Junior Competitive teams have a successful 2021 season.   The role primarily requires some email co-ordination which can be balanced against your existing commitments - and the rest of the football committee have experience in the requirements of the role, so you won't be on your own.

We'd also appreciate any early nominations for team managers as we build up to the season - many hands make light work!

The Volunteer application form can be found: here

Coaches and Managers

All Coaches and Managers are asked to ensure that they have filled in the appropriate volunteer form for this season as soon as possible.   You will need to fill in your volunteer app and provide us with details of your Blue Card for Junior Teams before training starts.

If you are interested in coaching and have not yet applied - please fill in the forms ASAP.

Volunteer form is found: HERE

BlueCard information can be found Here: QueenslandBlueCard
